Bio -
Lonna Marie was born and raised in Hollywood, Florida. She began her training early starting with dance class at the age of 3, which eventually led to studying musical theatre during her high school and college years. She began writing her own original music while living in New York City, in the dead of winter, in an emotionally exhausting and unrequitting relationship. At the end of 2009, Lonna won a paid trip down to Nashville, TN to record her original song "Nothing Little About Her". She worked under the wings of Andre Lopez, who organized the "Show Me the Music" Competition, and Jordan Fann of Plaid Star Records. The recording was done at the Dark Horse Studios, home to many popular recording artists such as Taylor Swift and Faith Hill.Beginning of 2010, Lonna began running a music event called the Underground Artists Live or UGA Live, for short. UGA has accumulated a large family of local artists in NYC and is growing every month. UGA was created to help inspire local artists and provide for them an opportunity to perform in a space that's supportive and understanding of what it's like to be an artist thriving in New York City. Lonna began professionally recording 7 original tracks at the end of 2011 with Zemroy Lewis, from Zimma Productions, producing her debut album. Robbie Hazen, a super talented singer/songwriter also from Florida, can be heard on the album tracking lead guitar, as well as other talented musicians. Before the album drops in 2012, keep your ears open for Lonna Marie's first single "Don't Forget" to be released soon! "Don't Forget" was recorded here in NYC at Nightlife Production Studios with Sean Gill, from The Passengerz, as her producer!
